Finally, the main building of the museum, the Carnegie Center, is a former library built and was donated by steel tycoon Andrew Carnegie in 1904.

The Blue Water Area certainly favors its outdoor festivals. One event in particular, the Blue Water SandFest competition, brings in throngs of festival-goers and sand artists from all over the country to build jaw-dropping sculptures.
