  • 7/1-7/13 - Constructed Reality - Albuquerque
    In the age of the Selfie, we document our lives, our presence, our image; we are obsessed. These outstanding photographers have been pursuing a broader photographic image of humanity and cultural concerns for many years through their unique Constructed Realities. However, on many levels, their work, as the selfie, records our presence and relationship with our environment, defining our obsession with human image.

  • 7/1-7/13 - The Flower as Still Life - Albuquerque
    Always a spectacular view of the beloved subject of the flower by artists living and working in New Mexico. 

  • 07/04 - Freedom 4th - Albuquerque
    Join us at Balloon Fiesta Park to celebrate our country's Independence Day. Enjoy the largest firework show in the state with food, local beer in the Microbrew Garden and free children activities during Freedom 4th!

  • 07/04 - Los Lunas 4th of July Celebration - Los Lunas
    Join us for our annual 4th of July Celebration! The Parade on Main St will be at 9 AM. Live entertainment at Daniel Fernandez Park begins at 4 PM, featuring the music of Nathaniel Krantz Band, Nosotros, The Gershom Brothers and Black Pearl Band of New Mexico. We will have our huge fireworks show at dusk! There will also be food trucks, a beer garden, jumpers and a rock wall for the kids!

  • 07/04 - Fourth of July Extravaganza - Rio Rancho
    The fireworks show at Loma Colorado Park will be a showstopper again this year! Bring the whole family for some summer fun. Listen to some music, and check out the dazzling display from the best spot in the city. Blankets and coolers are permitted. Food vendors will be on-site.

  • 07/04 - Corrales 4th of July Parade - Corrales
    Our yearly 4th of July parade starts at Target Road at 10AM, and proceeds south through downtown Corrales to La Entrada Road. Local clubs such as CHAMP (Corrales Horse and Mule People), Corrales Tractor Club, Boy Scouts, and many other groups participate. Each year, we try to incorporate new and unique events into the parade. After the parade, come join us at Family Fun Day in La Entrada Park. The Fire Department and Boy Scouts will be selling burgers & hot dogs. Local community organizations will have information booths.

  • 07/05 - 44th Army Band - Albuquerque
    Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with us! Family friendly, fun and FREE! Come and enjoy your beautiful summer weekend at the Albuquerque Museum. All shows are held at the Albuquerque Museum Amphitheater. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Children 12 and under are free.

  • 07/05 - Celebrate Red, White & Art - Albuquerque
    Celebrate Red, White and Art with the Yucca Gallery's featured artists on the 1st Friday in July. Art, music, and refreshments will be offered.

  • 07/07 - Bosque Wild: Guided Nature Walk - Albuquerque
    The Middle Rio Grande river valley is nature’s laboratory with a different lesson plan every season. This is a moderately strenuous guided hike along the banks of the Rio Grande and through one of the largest cottonwood forests in the world. Participants are encouraged to leave their pets at home.

  • 07/13 - Moonrise Concert with Dust City Opera - Albuquerque
    The Moonrise Concert Series is a family-friendly series of FREE concerts featuring amazing local talent and diverse musical genres. We kick this year’s series off with New Mexico’s freshest indie folk-rock band , Dust City Opera. Bring a picnic or enjoy food from a tasty local food truck! Doors open at 5 PM for early picnickers. Music starts at 6 PM.

  • 07/14 - Milne Open Space Hike - Cedar Crest
    This hike is a moderately strenuous hike through one of Open Space's outlying properties with Kyle Bality

  • 07/14 - Explorer Day at the Rail Yards Market - Albuquerque
    Walk, bike, roll, and head on down to the historic Rail Yards for an outing to remember.... Check your bike at our FREE bike valet and set a course for community engagement and fun! Pick up a special "Rail Yards Market Passport" at our Kids Zone and take a journey of fun and curiosity to visit a gem of Albuquerque.

  • 07/20 - Route 66 Summerfest - Albuquerque
    This free event features fun for the whole family including the Old Route 66 Car Show, Mother Road Art Market, Kids Zone & Youth Central, food trucks and live entertainment in Nob Hill on Central Ave. from Girard Blvd. to Washington St. Join us!

  • 07/21 - Neighborhood Day at the Rail Yards Market - Albuquerque
    Come on down and join us in celebration of our amazing surrounding neighborhoods! The Rail Yards Market belongs to the culturally rich and historic surrounding neighborhoods that are so integrally tied to our roots. Part of the market's mission is the preserve the legacy of the historic Barelas, South Broadway, and San Jose Neighborhoods!

    What's something new you could learn at the market? Is it that Pecans grow on a tree? That lasers can be used to create art? That Many-a-films were made at the historic Rail Yards site?     Go to the calendar and choose a painting and date. Reserve your easel online or by phone (bring your friends!) Get ready to paint, drink coffee and have fun!   • 07/04 - Red, White and Balloons - Albuquerque - Free-$25
    Join us for an all-ages celebration on the Fourth of July. Doors open at 5pm and this is your all-access pass to the best fireworks show in the City of Albuquerque. Get access to premium parking, pack a picnic or stop by one of our food trucks or choose to join our buffet from The Cooperage.

  • 07/05 - First Friday Fractals - Albuquerque - $5-$10
    A fractal is a never-ending, infinitely complex pattern that is self-similar across different scales. Fractals are created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop. First Friday Fractals is the spectacular, award-winning fulldome planetarium show that takes viewers on a tour of the fractals in nature and zooms through infinitely complex mathematical fractals. Featuring original music, the show is both educational and highly entertaining.

  • 7/9 & 7/30 - Twilight Tours at the Zoo - Albuquerque - $10-$15
    Experience the sights and sounds of the Zoo at twilight! After dinner at home, observe interesting animal behavior while taking a tour of the Zoo in a small group led by your personal guide. (Please note that not all animals are out at night.) Check-in begins at 6:30 and tours start promptly at 7 p.m. and will occur rain or shine. Meet at the front of the zoo.

This 4-day event lives up to its name by presenting world-renowned professional groups showcasing a variety of styles within the Mariachi tradition. Conference attendees, as well as the general public, can experience Mariachi music at its best, right here in Albuquerque.     Enjoy a morning tour of our working organic lavender farm and kitchen gardens with our Farm and Landscape Manager and farmers. Find out how to grow water-wise crops, mix the best compost for your garden and learn more about our field-to-fork practices at Los Poblanos. Consider arriving early and experiencing breakfast at Campo, which is open on Friday from 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM, and highlights many of the ingredients you'll learn about on the tour.

    During this guided tour, you’ll travel to the Bosque wetlands to look for bats, hoot for owls and search for other nocturnal animals. Bring your flashlight and your sense of adventures as we hike through the woods.

  • 7/19-7/20 - Aquarium Overnight: Sleeping with the Sharks! - Albuquerque - $30
    Join us for a shark extravaganza. Get up close and personal with a shark jaw, experiment to find out why sharks don’t sink, see if you can smell as well as a shark and make a shark to take home.

  • 7/20-7/21 - Lavender Festival - Los Ranchos - $5-$20
    Stroll through booths filled with fine arts, crafts, lavender, antiques and unique home décor. Visit the Kids Farm Camp designed to entertain and educate the youngest lavender lovers freeing the parents to experience the festival and its onsite adult classes and demonstrations.     Salud y Sabor is a free late morning/early afternoon of food, art, health, culture, and entertainment that celebrates our communities and connects families with nutrition, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and play. Once a month, community members gather for cooking demonstrations using fresh, locally grown ingredients, fun art and movement activities for kids and adults, health screenings, cultural exchange, and live entertainment.  Join us for free samples of local produce and special recipes. All activities emphasize traditional Latin American and Indigenous food and culture, basic information/free screenings from local Western and alternative health practitioners, and a vibrant atmosphere with art activities, storytelling, and live music.

  • 07/17 - 9th Annual New Day Benefit - Albuquerque - Free admission
    We have teamed up with New Day Youth Shelter for the Marble Round-Up happening July 17- 31. We're raising money to provide pathways out of homelessness for Albuquerque youth ages 11-22. It only takes a few cents to round up your check to the next dollar. If everyone does it, those few cents will add up to something big!

    Story Slams are friendly competitions where people get on the mic to tell true stories from their lives, without notes, and on that month’s theme. There are Featured Tellers, who are recruited beforehand for 10 min slots, and Open Mic Tellers who put their name in the hat at the event for the chance to tell a 5 min story. Friendly, supportive judges score each story and top scores take home a prize! Come prepared with a 5 min story for the open mic or just to listen to some great stories while enjoying a pint of local beer!

  • 07/28 - Pints & Planks - Albuquerque - $5
    Join us for Pints & Planks at Rio Bravo Brewing Company, LLC! Class starts at 11 AM and is sure to leave you with a smile on your face and ready to tackle Sunday Funday!     This 4th of July event is a great way to start your 4th of July celebrations. Volunteers are needed! Come and join us to help put on a great event!

  • 07/14 - Lavender Run in the Village - Los Ranchos
    The Lavender Run is an event you won't want to miss! This inaugural RunFit run will take place in the beautiful Village of Los Ranchos on the trail and roadways and starts and finishes at the annual Lavender Festival. Come help us put on the best run possible!

  • 07/20 - Chunky Monkey Run: 10K, 5K & Kids K - Albuquerque
    The 14th Annual Chunky Monkey Run is the second installment of a summer favorite - the Cherry Garcia Run. Runners and walkers will enjoy the flat and fast course as well as ice cream and more at the finish. A portion of the event proceeds benefits RunFit After School Running Program for kids throughout Albuquerque and New Mexico.
