  • Thursdays - Summer Tunes on the Boardwalk - Plano
    Jam with us all summer long! Grab a bite and beverage at one of the restaurants or lounge on the Boardwalk with waterfront views.

  • 08/01 - Sunset Cinema with AARP: Catch Me If You Can - Richardson
    The film depicts Frank W. Abagnale’s exploits as a young man, as he successfully made millions of dollars as a con artist. He has since gone on to become one of the world’s most respected authorities fighting fraud and forgery. We are hosting this event in anticipation of Mr. Abagnale’s upcoming appearance on August 15 in Richardson, Texas.

  • 08/03 - Family Day at the Samurai Collection - Dallas
    Join The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection on the first Saturday of the month for free fun during Family Day! Enjoy family-oriented guided tours and art activities from 1-3 PM. Each month a new aspect of samurai art and culture is explored.

  • 08/04 - Conduit - Frisco
    You are graciously invited to attend opening night of our contemporary exhibition, Conduit. Guests will enjoy an arrangement of hors d'oeuvres and a complimentary wine bar. Dress code will be smart casual/evening attire. Should you accept our invitation, we kindly ask you to RSVP and reserve a ticket.

  • 08/05 - Summer Playdates at Legacy Hall - Plano
    Join us to watch Beauty & The Beast (2017) and have lunch with Belle and The Beast! Belle and The Beast will be our guests as they dance, play and take photos with your children. The movie will begin at 10 AM. Food will be available for purchase, and no outside food will be allowed.

  • 08/08 - Vitruvian Nights Live - Addison
    Join us for the best free summer concert series in DFW! This month, we have Infinite Journey (a Journey tribute band) playing music. So, come sit back and relax while listening to live music, enjoying delicious food from food trucks, and play some outdoor games!

  • 08/09 - Beats & B.B. Owen: The Redwine Band - McKinney
    Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy live music & food trucks. Coolers are welcome, but no glass containers please. Come out, bring your family & friends - it's sure to be a good time!

  • 08/10 - Plano Family Expo - Plano
    Join us for SUMMER FUN at South Fork Ranch! This is a family, fun-filled event designed by families for families, and it's fully indoors! Come and enjoy interactive family activities, family services near you, community networking, performances. competitions and entertainment, parent pampering and MORE!

  • 08/10 - Hugapalooza! - Dallas
    Hugapalooza! is a free, kid-centered, sing-along concert put on by KidLinks as a way to say thank you to the community for supporting us. The event will be full of music and kids' activities meant to make you feel better, make you feel special, make you feel happy, but most importantly, make you feel like you are getting a big wonderful HUG!

  • 08/13 - Brown Bag Lecture: Dr. Janice Franklin - Dallas
    Dr. Janice Franklin will speaking about the influence of African Americans in Jazz, Blues, Rock, Tejano and country music. She is an accomplished musician, holding a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Arts in Music with a piano performance concentration.

  • 08/24 - Bridging the Gap: Tech Fest - Dallas
    Due to the lack of trained IT professionals, companies oftentimes go outside of DFW and sometimes outside of the US just to find qualified talent. Although there are many jobs here, people aren't necessarily being trained to satisfy the needs of the positions. The purpose of this event is to help Bridge that Gap!

  • 8/1-8/3 - Festival of Independent Theatres - Dallas - $20-$73
    As is tradition, this year’s line-up includes eight independent theatre companies, some long-time participants and some fresh to FIT, performing eight one-act plays paired in two show blocks. Plus, two brand new cabaret performances by two divas of the Dallas music scene.

  • 8/1-8/10 - 10-Minute Play Festival - Plano - $12-$15
    For the fifth consecutive year, Rover Dramawerks will present a festival of 10-minute comedies. Selected from over 300 plays submitted blind from playwrights all over the world, nine short plays will be presented. All nine plays are considered the winners of Rover’s play contest.

  • 8/1-8/17 - The Legend of Deadeye Mary - Dallas - $10.50-$12.50
    The year is 1878. "Deadeye Mary" is looking for the man who shot her pa and Felicity is looking for the subject of her next novel. Their fates become intertwined as they face off against outlaws, bounty hunters, and a crooked lawman in a desperate hunt for stolen gold. It's a popcorn-flinging western with a feminist twist!

  • 08/03 - Funnier than a Mutha#*@%!& Comedy Festival: Ladies Night Out - Grand Prairie - $35-$110
    The Funnier than a Mutha#*@%!& Comedy Festival: Ladies Night Out will feature performances by Nene Leakes, Loni Love, Sherri Shepherd, Adele Givens, Jess Hilarious, Kym Whitley, and Janelle James.

  • 08/04 - Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope - Dallas - $10
    The Texas Theatre, Aviation Cinemas and The Majestic Theater Present The Original Star Wars Trilogy at the historic Majestic Theater!  $1 of each ticket sold to each screening will be donated by Aviation Cinemas to the Peter Mayhew Foundation.

  • 8/7-8/18 - Fiddler on the Roof - Dallas - $20-$100
    Featuring a talented cast, lavish orchestra and stunning movement and dance from Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter, based on the original staging by Jerome Robbins, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will introduce a new generation to the uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!

  • 8/9-8/18 - 29ROOMS: Expand Your Reality - Dallas - $10-$49
    Refinery29 will present its annual immersive festival of style, culture and creativity, 29Rooms: Expand Your Reality. The Expand Your Reality experience will create new, bold, and thought-provoking moments that bring Refinery29's mission and multi-sensory spaces to life in collaboration with global artists, creators, visionaries, meaningful causes, and brands.

  • 08/10 - Mini Movement Fest - Dallas - $5-$10
    Mini Movement Fest is a one-day long dance festival. The day will include 3 dance-based workshops led by local and visiting movement artists, followed by a performance in the evening. Our workshops are open to movers of all experience levels high school age and older.

  • 08/10 - The JIM Experiment - Plano - $13-$16.70
    An improv experience like no other, The JIM Experiment returns with completely original improv games and tried and true favorites... with a twist. The eclectic group will present their one-of-a-kind, annual improv event.

  • 8/10-8/12 - The 6th Annual One-Minute Play Festival - Dallas - $20
    50 original one-minute plays by 50 local playwrights + 10 directors + amazing actors = 1 insanely wild night of theater. This highly anticipated annual event has quickly become a community favorite!

  • 08/15 - Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back - Dallas - $10

  • 8/15-8/31 - Latinidades: A Festival of Solo Shows - Dallas - $13-$25
    This unique festival of solo shows features performers, stories, and experiences from around the United States. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Performed primarily in Spanish with English subtitles.

    Gear Up, Friends! We’re talkin’ nine rip-roarin’ nights of hot country music, first-class rodeos, livestock shows, kid & fun zones, the latest fun attractions and more. Yeah! See you at the North Texas Fair & Rodeo!

  • 08/17 - SonsStock Music & Art Gathering - Dallas - $10
    SonsStock 2019 is an entertaining, family-friendly event where musicians and artisans join efforts to raise funds for Sons of Hermann Lodge 66. In addition to its fundraising efforts, it is also a celebration of Woodstock which coincides with the anniversary weekend 50 years ago. The hall is filled with Love, Peace and Music, as well as vendors selling their wares throughout the day.

  • 08/17 - Big 3 Ballout - Dallas - $12.50-$27.75
    The festival will feature all six weekly games on one day at American Airlines Center with fans being able to watch six games with just one ticket. Additionally, BIG3 Ballout will include top-level musical performances on-court, a series of Young3 clinics for area youth throughout the weekend and meet and greets for fans with players.

  • 8/22-8/25 - Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Dallas - $25-$150
    Roald Dahl’s amazing tale is now Dallas’ golden ticket! It’s the perfect recipe for a delectable treat: songs from the original film, including “Pure Imagination,” “The Candy Man,” and “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” alongside a toe-tapping and ear-tickling new score from the songwriters of Hairspray.

  • 08/24 - Lost '80s Live 2019 - Grand Prairie - $10.03-$129.75
    100.3 JACK FM presents Lost '80s Live! Lost '80s Live will feature performances by A Flock Of Seagulls, Thomas Dolby, Missing Persons, The Tubes, The Motels, Wang Chung, Farrington + Mann the Original Members of When In Rome UK, The Escape Club, The Vapors, Real Life, Trans X, Boys Don't Cry, Anything Box, and Christopher Anton (formerly of Information Society).

  • 8/30-9/1 - Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back Movie in Concert - Dallas - $44-$194
    Climb aboard the Millennium Falcon and visit a “galaxy far, far away” as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra presents The Empire Strikes Back Movie in Concert.     Quiet Events will present a pop-up event featuring three live DJs spinning all night. DJ 1 (Green) will play EDM/Top 40 Dance Hits; DJ 2 (Red) will play '80s, '90s, and 2K throwbacks; and DJ 3 (Blue) will play Hip Hop/R&B.   • 08/31 - Trinity River Volunteer Day - Dallas
    Join us for a fun, family-friendly volunteer trash cleanup and seed ball making day in Harold Simmons Park! The Great Seed Bomb will be leading the Seed Ball Workshop, where you can get your hands dirty and make native grass and wildflower seed balls that will be dispersed in different areas along the Trinity River Corridor.
