  • 07/03 - Movies at Market Square Park: Spaceballs - Houston
    In honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, we’re celebrating “Space City Month” with a screening of the Mel Brooks classic, Spaceballs (PG). Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and watch as a rogue star pilot and his trusty sidekick must come to the rescue of a Princess and save the galaxy from a ruthless race of beings known as Spaceballs.

  • 7/3-7/4 - 4th of July Celebration in Baytown - Baytown
    Hey Baytown! We'll see you on July 3rd and 4th in Bicentennial Park for two star-studded nights of FREE live entertainment. This is one celebration you won't want to miss!

  • 07/04 - Katy Freedom Celebration - Katy
    Join us in celebrating the Fourth of July at the annual Freedom Celebration! Enjoy fun activities including bounce houses, public safety demos, dunking booth, petting zoo, trackless train, snow cones and much more! Additionally, VFW Post 9182 & Auxiliary will hold their Annual 4th of July Auctions and fundraiser lunch. Then enjoy our evening program of fireworks and music at 9PM near Typhoon Texas and Katy Mills Mall.

  • 07/04 - Fourth of July Parade & Festival - Bellaire
    The annual 4th of July parade begins at 9:30 AM and is followed by the community festival from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM! The event is free and open to the public. There will be carnival games, a petting zoo, rides, live music, and food from local restaurants!

  • 07/04 - Red, Hot & Blue Festival - The Woodlands
    Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with great food, live entertainment, children’s activities and family fun at multiple locations throughout The Woodlands. This community-wide celebration offers fun for all ages. The event culminates with the 18-minute Fireworks Extravaganza!

  • 07/04 - 4th of July Celebration - Missouri City
    Join us for Missouri City's annual 4th of July Celebration! Celebrate the holiday with a variety of entertainment, activities, and tasty treats! Seating is available in the Thurgood Marshall High School stadium. Sit back, relax, and watch the fireworks show!

  • 07/04 - Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular - Houston
    Independence Day welcomes an evening of live music and a 15-minute fireworks spectacular that you don’t want to miss! As a courtesy, no outside food or beverages are allowed. CityCentre's restaurants offer delicious menu items that can also conveniently be taken to-go. Parking will be $10 in all CITYCENTRE garages beginning at 4 PM.

  • 07/06 - Cars in the Park: Exotics & Classics - Bellaire
    Calling all car enthusiasts! We will have Classic Cars & Trucks and Exotic Cars for you to see. Bring you friends, family and neighbors. Come spend time at Evelyn's Park. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

    Eighteenth century Venezuelan aristocrat Simón Bolívar (Edgar Ramirez) fights to free his country and other South American territories from Spanish rule.

  • 07/13 - The Market at Sawyer Yards - Houston
    The Market at Sawyer Yards is a curated market that hosts a mix of artist mediums with a focus on folk art, the maker is the seller and artisan crafts including packaged specialty foods. The market features 60 exhibitors, live original music performances, food trucks, wine, beer, and cocktails.

  • 7/16-7/21 - Seussical the Musical - Houston
    Seussical, created by Tony Award® winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Once on This Island, Ragtime), is a magical musical for the entire family. The production is narrated by The Cat in the Hat, who weaves all the favorite Seuss characters into the whimsical tale of Horton the Elephant and his quest to protect the people of Who-ville. Seussical brings out the imagination in all of us by reminding us to always believe.

  • 07/20 - A Giant Leap: Moon Landing 50th Anniversary - Houston
    “Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.” The 50th anniversary of the epic Apollo 11 mission to the moon will be celebrated at Discovery Green in a free public event on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Featured will be a paratrooper landing by the Golden Knights, the United States Army's official aerial parachute demonstration team; exhibitions from the Johnson Space Center; Lone Star Flight Museum; commentary by Douglas Brinkley, author of American Moonshot (Harper Collins 2019); a screening of Apollo 11 (2019, 93 min., G); Discovery Green’s artisan/collectible market and much more.

  • 07/24 - 1898. Our Last Men in the Philippines - Houston
    In 1898, in the Philippines, a Spanish military squad seeks refuge in a church. Once inside, the squad faces its newest enemy, malaria.

  • 07/26 - Family Movie Night: Trolls - Houston
    Come on over to Levy Park for Family Movie Night to watch DreamWorks computer animated musical film, Trolls.   • 07/17 - Storie Sospese (Suspended Stories) - Houston - $10-$15
    Join us in 2019 for our Contemporary Italian Film Series, recent releases from Italy screened in Italian with English subtitles. A construction company hires Thomas, a professional rock climber, to supervise the building of a motorway tunnel in a small village in the south of Italy. The locals, led by a surveyor and a schoolteacher, accuse the company of carrying on the works without caring about the growing environmental risks they are causing. Thomas must choose sides when Alessandro, one of his colleagues and friends, is severely injured because of an accident on the worksite. Will he expose the company and lose his job, or stay quiet betraying his friend and the local community?

    Buchner's 19th Century play was based on the real-life case of a barber who stabbed his mistress in a fit of jealousy and was sentenced to death. Rec Room’s radical new production of Woyzeck explores Buchner’s work through the lens of contemporary violence. This modernized production is charted on a grid of suburbs, inundated with adolescent anxiety, and lays bare the challenges of navigating first love in a world that values structure over sentiment. This production is for mature audiences and might not be suitable for those sensitive to violence.

  • 07/18 - Silent Disco - Houston - $35
    Guests wear provided headphones with three different channels of music – so everyone can pick their favorite genre and dance to the rhythm. This evening will also include up-close animal experiences, and opportunities to learn about how important dance is to one local species, the Attwater’s prairie chicken. Other activities include arm marbling, temporary blacklight airbrush tattoos, and giant lawn games including Jenga, Connect Four, Ring Toss, and Cornhole.   • 07/19 - Mixers & Elixirs: From Houston to the Moon - Houston - $15-$25
    Here’s your chance to party under the Moon at the museum! Artist Luke Jerram’s epic Moon sculpture in the museum’s Glassell Hall will set the mood for this edition of Mixers and Elixirs, scheduled around the 50th anniversary of Neil and Buzz taking a walk on the lunar soil. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the live band - The Space Rockers - to get the party going. There will also be cash bars and the city’s best food trucks on site to keep you full and happy. It’s the perfect party, where the science club meets the social set. Hitting this scene is a sure sign of intelligence!

  • 07/20 - Houston Brunch Festival - Houston - $15-$45
    Houston loves brunch, so we are putting together a festival to celebrate some of the best restaurants in the brunch game serving up tasting size portions of the brunch items they do best. A portion of the proceeds of this event will be donated to the Houston Museum-African American Culture. We will also have celebrity judges that will crown our 2019 Brunch Fest Champion with a cash prize of $500!

  • 07/04 - TXU Energy Wings of Freedom 5K/10K & Family Fun Run - Houston
    The TXU Energy Wings of Freedom 5K and Family Fun Run benefits Be An Angel, a Houston-based organization committed to improving the quality of lives of children with special needs across Texas by providing specialized programs, services and equipment. We need volunteers to assist with registration and packet pickup, volunteer chek-in, water stops, act as course marshalls and course crew, at the finish line, with post-race activities, clean up, and awards.

  • 07/06 - Christmas in July 5K - Houston
    The Christmas in July 5K starts and concludes at The Salvation Army Area Command. This course runs through downtown Houston featuring the unbeatable holiday spirit ... in July. We rely on the hard work of volunteers, like you, to help us in every aspect of the race. There are many opportunities available to volunteer whether you’re running the race or not. This is a great opportunity for high schoolers, club organizations, and individuals looking to learn more about what happens behind the scenes during a race. We are very excited that you'll be joining us for the Christmas in July 5K and thank you for your commitment to helping.
