    Come enjoy some great jazz music, learn about Tandem Press and the field of printmaking, and see the current exhibition hanging in the Tandem Press Apex Gallery. Tours of the Tandem Press studio will be offered during the intermission of each concert. All of the concerts in this series are free and open to the public. Ample free parking is available.

    UW Science Expeditions is our annual, campus-wide science open house. It’s an opportunity for all of us at UW-Madison to welcome everyone to their public, land-grant research university, and it’s a splendid chance to share our research & outreach with visitors of all ages. As a campus-wide open house, UW Science Expeditions features three types of programs: Exploration Stations, Science Spectaculars, and Destinations for Exploration.

    Visit 43 artists from the area, who are highly skilled in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, jewelry, woodworking, fused glass, metalworking, glass mosaics and fiber arts. The public is invited to attend, view, and purchase high quality art created by local Wisconsin artists.

    This is the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim, who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. There she meets and falls in love with an American G.I. named Chris, but they are torn apart by the fall of Saigon. For 3 years, Kim goes on an epic journey of survival to find her way back to Chris, who has no idea he’s fathered a son. Ages 12 and up.

    Over 80 crafters from the Midwest will be selling their handmade goods. You can expect to see a variety of jewelry, baskets, garden art, cards, pottery, woodwork, baby gifts, soaps, balms, lotions, knitwear, paintings, home décor and more! It's the perfect place to find a unique gift for that special someone (or for yourself). There is a $1 entry fee and also a chance to win a door prize (80+ chances to win). Food and beverages will be available, and there will be plenty of free parking.

  • 4/7 - Get Artsy in April with UCP! - Madison - Free admission
    Fired Up will donate 30% of their pre-tax proceeds to help UCP fulfill our mission of serving over 1,900 children with disabilities and their families all across southern Wisconsin. Come to Fired Up and spend some quality time being artsy and having fun. Choose from pottery painting, glass fusing, or canvas painting. When you check out and/or pick up your finished projects, be sure to tell them you were here for the UCP FUNdraiser, and 30% of the pre-tax sale will go to us! It’s as easy as that.

    This semiannual sale is organized by the Friends to help support our annual lecture series, special purchases for the library collections, preservation of library materials, and grants for the visiting scholar program. We accept donations for upcoming sales on a continual basis. The sale is free to attend (except the preview sale) and open to the public.

  • 4/13 - 20 Year Anniversary Concert - Madison - Free-$20
    Celebrate the Wisconsin Chamber Choir’s 20th anniversary season with a riveting concert of favorite works from the choir’s history. Alumni of the choir will participate as guest singers in the final two works on the program.     We are excited to announce our 2nd Annual Comedy and Cocktails night, featuring Improv Comedy by Monkey Business Institute!     The Junior League of Madison is hosting its fundraiser, Sip Into Spring, on April 27 at Old Sugar Distillery. There will be a Kendra Scott pop-up booth as well as a balloon pop for fun prizes!

  • 4/14 - Pi Mile Run - Madison
    This year we will be hosting the 20th annual Pi Mile Run! It is a 5K/10K where all of the proceeds are donated to Occupaws Guide Dog Association. This year we need volunteers for setting up before the race, holding signs along the race, cleaning up afterwards, and a variety of other tasks. Feel free to sign up for only part of the day or the whole day, if you can make it. We are happy to have volunteers from outside of Tau Beta Pi, as well.

  • 4/20 - Cottontail Classic 5K/10K - Fitchburg
    We are in need of volunteers to help make this community event possible! If you or your group is interested in helping at one of the fun SUGAR STATIONS, course pointers or water stations, please sign up using the link above, fill out the contact form, or message us on Facebook! We also need registration, finish line, and awards help.

  • 4/27 - Crazylegs Classic 8K Run/2-Mile Walk - Madison
    From start to finish, a small group of men and women volunteers along with the UW Athletic Department staff handle all of the planning and execution of the Crazylegs Classic. Many volunteers come back year after year, because they enjoy the “work,” want to help the athletic program and are passionate about the history and tradition of the Crazylegs Classic.

  • 4/27 - Spring into Fine Arts - Madison
    Are you interested in volunteering for Spring into Fine Arts? We would love to have your help! Volunteer jobs include booth sitter (give the artists a short break), greeting customers and collecting donations, helping with set-up and take-down, passing out handbills at the Farmer’s Market and other events, make up registration packets, assist with drawings for gift certificates, and more.
