 Fourth of July Fireworks


  • All of July - Art Cart & Art Cart EXTRA! - Madison
    Art Cart and Art Cart EXTRA! are free outdoor art programs that travel to parks, playgrounds, and beaches across Dane County in summer. Kids enjoy expert instruction and a relaxed attitude to make art outdoors. Children ages three and above are welcome with an adult. Families can drop in with no preregistration necessary.

  • 7/3-7/4 - Monona Community Festival - Monona
    A fun-filled festival awaits you in one of Wisconsin's most beautiful community parks. On deck for this year's celebration includes a carnival, food & beer tents, live performances, a fireworks display, Taste of the 4th, Wisconsin Wife Carry Championship, an arts & crafts fair and much more!

  • 7/3-7/4 - 4th of July Community Celebration - DeForest
    Join us to celebrate Independence Day over two days! We will have live music, activities, food and drink! To finish the night on July 4th, stick around for a spectacular fireworks display!

  • 07/04 - 5th Annual Fourth Fest - Madison
    The Edgewater will rock the dock for the 5th Annual Fourth Fest, featuring live music from Zac Matthews and headliner 5th GEAR, kids’ entertainment, games, carnival snacks and cold brews. Expect Fourth of July favorites including burgers (veggie burgers too!), street tacos, foot-long hot dogs, and more! Celebrating Independence Day, this red, white and blue holiday is fun for the whole family.

  • 07/04 - WaunaBoom - Waunakee
    Come and celebrate Independence Day, while experiencing the fun, food, live music, family activities, Waunakee Area EMS recognition, helicopter rides and large fireworks display.

  • 07/06 - Planets after Sunset - Madison
    We will partner with UW Space Place for this special night event. View planets through telescopes, then embark on a naturalist-led walk. Sky gazing with local astronomers will continue until 11 PM, weather permitting. Free, no registration required. Meet at the Visitor Center.

  • 7/11-7/14 - Fête de Marquette - Madison
    Between the Sun Stage and the Moon Stage, the two acres of Central Park that make up Family Fete are transformed into a giant summer playground! We'll have 3 bounce houses, 2 ball parks, a climbing wall, a vintage Ferris Wheel, an arts & crafts tent, a misting tent, face painting, henna art, temporary airbrush tattoos, and more!

  • 07/12 - Lil' Explorers - Madison
    Did you know prairies used to cover more than 40% of the United States and now they cover just 1%? Discover why prairie plants are so important for our ecosystem and enjoy a hike through our prairie. We’ll help you craft a tool to explore! During this program we introduce our youngest community members to nature through fun, hands-on activities.

  • 07/13 - Saturday Science: Over the Moon - Madison
    This event is free and open to the public. It features interactive exploration stations for children and families. Learn about space as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing! Check out moon rocks collected by Apollo missions, explore the challenges of colonizing space, learn how we hunt for planets orbiting other stars and more.

  • 07/14 - Butterflies Flutter By - Madison
    We will explore the prairies and gardens looking for monarch butterfly eggs, caterpillars, and adults as we learn about butterflies and their life cycles. Designed for families with children ages 3–11. Free, no registration required. Meet at the Visitor Center.

  • 07/15 - Concerts at McKee 2019: Mad City Funk - Madison
    Mad City Funk plays classic Funk, R&B, Soul, and Blues with power and finesse. Together they are eight versatile musicians from varied musical backgrounds with over 100 years of combined musical experience. Concerts at McKee is a Party in the Park for everyone! Food trucks from local vendors, beverages and beer are available, or pack a picnic and bring family, friends and co-workers. It is the best way to spend a summer Monday night!

  • 07/20 - Shakespeare in the State Parks: Romeo and Juliet - Stoughton
    The Summit Players present their 2019 season: a brand-new production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet will visit 18 different Wisconsin State Parks this summer. All shows and workshops are presented free of charge. Seating is general admission on a first come, first served basis. Wisconsin State Park Vehicle Admission Sticker is required and can be purchased upon entry to the park.

  • 7/25-7/28 - WaunaFest - Waunakee
    WaunaFest is an annual community celebration held the last full weekend of July. Chamber Beer Garden, Legion Beer Tent, food, carnival rides & midway, music, men's softball tournament, coed volleyball tournament (held at Ripp Park), daily family events, Arts & Craft Show, a parade on Sunday and much, much more!

  • 7/27-7/28 - AtwoodFest - Madison
    AtwoodFest is an annual neighborhood music festival held on the last weekend in July on Atwood Avenue. The street is closed from Monty's Blue Plate Diner to Tex Tubbs and two Music stages are located at each end with a KidsFest, MakerMarket, Community Art Project, and tons of food and craft vendors between. 

  • 07/28 - Citizen Science - Madison
    Summer is an active season for citizen science. Bumblebees, butterflies, birds, and blooming buds are just a few of nature’s wonders you can observe and record. Come to learn, participate, and enjoy. There will be a naturalist-led walk from 1:30-2:30 PM, followed by indoor activities from 2:30-3:30 PM. Designed for families with children ages 3-11. Free, no registration required. Meet at the Visitor Center.

  • Tuesdays - Summer Concert Series - Madison - $2
    Enjoy the evening with a concert on the Great Lawn of Olbrich's outdoor gardens. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Picnics are allowed in the Gardens for Tuesday concerts only. In case of rain, concerts will be held indoors.

  • Tuesdays - Total Darkness Tour - Blue Mounds - $10.95-$18.95
    Your guide will teach you about cave light – or should we say the lack of it – along the underground trails. Experience the cave in a way not featured on regular tours – by handheld light only. Learn a bit about fluorescence, phosphorescence and triboluminescence along the way.

  • 07/11 - Revel x Madewell: Embellished Tote Bags! - Madison - $15
    Madewell is the ultimate in cool girl style, and we can’t get enough of their denim bar, boho/festival looks, and trendy jewelry! Join us in the store between 5-8 PM to shop Madewell’s summer collection (rumor has it, there will be exclusive discounts!) while enjoying a refreshing beverage. Choose one of two signature canvas totes from Madewell, then visit our DIY station to embellish it using patches, gems, and metallic studs.

  • 7/12-7/13 - 2019 Home Garden Tour - Madison - $13-$15
    For the first time, Olbrich’s Home Garden Tour will feature the gorgeous gardens of Stoughton, a bedroom community just a hop, skip, and jump outside of Madison. Explore exquisite home gardens that offer a look into each gardener’s individual sense of creativity, style, and beauty.

  • 7/12-7/14 & 7/19-7/21 - Mary Poppins - Cambridge - $12
    The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "anything can happen if you let it."   • 7/26-8/4 - Sunflower Days - Verona - Free-$4
    Sunflower Days at the Pope Farm Conservancy is a beautiful annual event for thousands of people. A visual phenomenon, this 9-acre sunflower field with over 500,000 sunflowers in bloom is one summer event you won't want to miss!

  • 07/31 - Yarn Rainbow Workshop - Madison - $25
    We have all the heart eyes for these cute fiber rainbows, and let’s be honest – we could all use a little more color in our lives! Decide on a color palette and sequence, then have fun selecting your desired yarn colors to use for your rainbow. The instructor will demonstrate the techniques used to wrap and shape your rainbow, and then you’ll go home with a completed wall hanging that will definitely spark joy wherever you hang it!

  • Fridays - Sassy Cow Creamery Summer Friday Tours - Columbus - $4
    Experience our family dairy farm by seeing firsthand how cows produce milk that is made into award winning ice cream and bottled milk fresh from our dairy. First you will drive to the farm to receive a tour of the parlor and to meet the cows in the barn. Then you will head back to the creamery, where you can view ice cream making and milk bottling and have a chance to enjoy some ice cream. The tour is about an hour long. Ticket price includes a pint of milk!

  • 07/04 - Nau-ti-gal's 4th of July Surf Party - Madison - Free admission
    The Nau-ti-gal is having a Surf attack! Join us this 4th of July for a fun night of surf music. ice cold drinks and amazing food! There will be plenty of room for dancing by the water! It's time to celebrate!

  • 07/05 - Brewgrass Fridays: The Last Revel - Madison - Free admission
    The Last Revel returns to the Brewgrass Fridays series! This powerfully talented trio of multi-instrumentalists from Minneapolis, Minnesota so naturally blends the genres of folk, rockabilly, old time string-band and rock. Enjoy Madison’s best views, a DCB brew, and a good old-fashioned Wisconsin fish fry while listening. Fish Fry available in The Icehouse at 5 PM, live music starts at 6 PM. All shows (and sunsets) are free and open to the public!

  • 07/07 - "Behind the Brews" Brewery Tour - Waunakee - $10
    We love sharing our passion for craft brewing with others and will gladly show you around our brewery. Meet The Lone Girl Brewing Company owners and/or brewer and learn more about who we are and what we do. Your $10 ticket gives you a behind-the-brews glimpse into our brewhaus and a tour provided by our brewmaster, John Russell. Following the tour, you’ll get to taste your way through a flight of three fresh-brewed Lone Girl Brewing Company craft beers.

  • 07/11 - Trivia at the Museum - Madison - $10
    Come to the museum and test your trivia knowledge! Teams will work together to answer trivia questions or they can “call a curator” for help. Happy hour starts at 6:30 PM, with trivia to follow at 7:00 PM.

  • 07/12 - Boulder, Bike & Brew - Madison - $15

  • 7/3-7/4 - Monona Community Festival - Monona
    Over 50,000 people attend the Monona Community Festival raising money to support Monona and surrounding community organizations, charities and school scholarships. The event relies heavily on volunteer participation with over 100 volunteers assisting throughout the weekend. Looking for community service hours or team building activity?   • 07/04 - WaunaBoom - Waunakee
    We enjoyed great success at WaunaBoom last year and have added many new events for this year. With the increase in events, we’re in need of more volunteers to help make this a huge success for our community. Without our volunteers this day would not be possible!

  • 7/11-7/14 - 2019 Fête de Marquette - Madison
    We need beverage servers for our annual, four-day festival. You'll have fun and will be helping to raise funds for a very good cause, the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center!

  • 07/12 - MADSS Golf Outing - Cottage Grove
    We need volunteers to help us run registration, games on the course, and set up for our evening program.

  • 07/13 - Fitchburg Festival of Speed - Madison
    The Fitchburg Festival of Speed is an all-day festival that should top your list of "Can't-Miss" summer activities, whether you join as a spectator or participant or volunteer. We need a lot of help, so sign up to make this festival a great one!

  • 07/20 - Bike for Boys & Girls Club - Fitchburg
    Want to get behind the scenes instead if behind the handlebars? We need volunteers to help register riders, direct traffic, staff rest stops, serve food & beverages, etc. Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt as well as take part in enjoying the food, beverages, and festivities at the event.

  • 7/20-7/21 - Her Madison Half Marathon & 5K - Madison
    The Her Madison Half Marathon & 5K could not happen without the generosity of volunteers. Hundreds of volunteers are needed throughout the race weekend.

  • 07/21 - MADSS Family Picnic - Fitchburg
    Help us run games and crafts, grill out, and overall throw a FUN picnic for our families! Great for individual volunteers or groups.

  • 07/27 - Lake Ripley Ride - Cambridge
    The Lake Ripley Ride event takes pride in our OUTSTANDING volunteers! We have gotten fantastic feedback throughout the years on our great volunteers. Sign up below to help out at the FUN event, you will even get a 2019 Lake Ripley Ride shirt, and help out our great causes - the Cambridge CAP & JDRF!

    Close the streets and start the music - AtwoodFest 2019 is here! This is a team effort and we need a dedicated group of volunteers to put on the best Festival Madison has to offer.
