Seven Personal Finance and Money-Saving Experts to Follow on Twitter

David Sung | November 4, 2013

When you’re looking for advice, the Internet is the perfect place to start, because many professionals have established themselves online. Twitter, among other social platforms, is the perfect place to stay up to date with current news and events when utilized correctly. Experts in a wide range of fields and industries use Twitter to share advice and knowledge with their followers.

In 140 characters or less, Twitter users can read a short snippet and decide whether or not the information and topic is something that they would be interested in, and you can usually find more information from a link the user provides. However, with so many personal finance “experts” on Twitter, and money saving tips coming from so many sources, it can be difficult to know who is worth following, and more importantly, taking advice from.  We’ve identified seven personal finance blogs and Twitter accounts that are worth following.

@FARNOOSH – Farnoosh Torabi

Farnoosh Torobi is a best-selling author and personal finance expert, whose advice was called “perfectly practical” by the New York Times. She is the host of the #1 personal finance web series “Financially Fit” on Yahoo! Shopping. Farnoosh shares personal finance tips and money saving advice on Twitter, through online videos, and in blog posts.

Adding to their credibility, Money Crashers often links to sources outside of their own website.

@MoneySavingMom – Crystal Paine
